How TradeScreener collects, uses, protects, and handles information across the website, account system, chart uploads, analytics, and support.

01Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how TradeScreener collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you visit the website, create an account, upload chart screenshots, use the analysis tools, contact support, or otherwise interact with the service.

TradeScreener is built to help you read chart screenshots and trading setups more clearly. We collect only what's needed to run the platform, improve the product, keep accounts secure, communicate with users, and provide a better experience.

By using TradeScreener, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree with this policy, please don't use the service.

02Information we collect

We collect information directly from you, automatically through your device or browser, and through trusted third-party services we rely on to run the platform.

  • Account information — name, email, profile image, login provider, and account identifiers
  • Authentication details from login providers, such as OAuth profile data needed to create and secure your account
  • Usage information — pages visited, buttons clicked, scan activity, feature usage, browser and device type, referral source, and general analytics events
  • Chart screenshots and scan inputs you upload, including the image and related settings like timeframe, ticker, account size, or risk percentage
  • Generated analysis output — detected ticker, entry areas, stop loss, targets, risk/reward, trade direction, and scan results
  • Support messages — emails, feedback, bug reports, and anything else you send us
  • Technical information — IP address, browser version, operating system, device identifiers, cookies, session data, and server logs
  • Payment-related information — subscription status, billing email, plan type, trial status, and transaction identifiers, processed through a third-party payment provider that does not share full card numbers with us
  • Onboarding responses you select during setup, used to understand users and improve the product

03How we use information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, secure, and improve TradeScreener. We don't use your data to place real trades for you, manage your brokerage account, or give you personalized financial advice.

  • Create and manage your account
  • Authenticate your login and keep your session secure
  • Process uploaded chart screenshots and generate educational analysis
  • Track scan usage, platform performance, and product reliability
  • Improve model quality, user experience, design, speed, and output accuracy
  • Detect errors, bugs, abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access
  • Respond to support requests and questions
  • Send service-related messages, account notices, security alerts, or billing notices
  • Run product experiments — like testing different pricing or onboarding flows — to learn what works best
  • Comply with legal, security, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations

04Screenshots & scan data

When you upload a chart screenshot, TradeScreener may process that image and its related scan data to generate an analysis. Uploaded images can contain visible chart info, ticker symbols, watchlists, platform UI, or other details included in the screenshot itself.

Avoid uploading screenshots that contain sensitive personal information — brokerage balances, full names, account numbers, private messages, API keys, or passwords.

We may store scan records, metadata, and analysis outputs to support account history, product performance, abuse prevention, and platform reliability, aiming to limit unnecessary personal information where practical.

05Guest checkout & account linking

You may be able to start onboarding or complete a purchase before creating a full account. In that case, we create a temporary guest record to hold your onboarding answers, subscription, and settings.

When you later sign in with a supported login provider, that guest record — including any active subscription — is linked to your new account so your purchase and history carry over, and the temporary record is merged in.

06Cookies & analytics

TradeScreener may use cookies, local storage, session storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure performance, understand traffic, and improve the platform.

Analytics tools may collect information such as pages viewed, device type, approximate location, browser type, referral source, and interaction events — this helps us see what's working, what's confusing, and where to improve.

You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, though blocking them may affect login, account functionality, or parts of the service.

07Third-party services

We rely on third-party services to help run TradeScreener. These providers only process information as needed to perform their function for us, under their own terms and privacy practices.

  • Authentication providers, such as Google login
  • Database and backend infrastructure providers
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Analytics providers, used to measure traffic, onboarding progress, and feature usage
  • Payment processors, which handle checkout, subscriptions, trials, and billing records under their own policies
  • Email, support, logging, and security tools

08How we share information

We don't sell your personal information to data brokers. We may share information with service providers and partners only when needed to operate, secure, or improve TradeScreener.

  • With vendors and service providers that help host, secure, analyze, support, or operate the platform
  • With payment processors to handle billing, subscriptions, taxes, fraud prevention, and transaction records
  • With legal, regulatory, or government authorities when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, users, or the platform
  • In connection with a business transfer — a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets
  • With your consent or direction

09Data security

We use reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards to protect user information, including account authentication, access controls, encryption in transit, provider security controls, logging, and monitoring.

No online service can guarantee perfect security. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and using a safe device — contact us right away if you think your account's been accessed without permission.

10Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain account records, improve the platform, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and protect the business.

Some records may be kept longer where required for security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, or legal reasons. Once information is no longer needed, we may delete, de-identify, aggregate, or securely retain it per our internal practices.

11Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or limit certain uses of your personal information, or to object to certain processing or withdraw consent.

To make a privacy request, email us with enough information to identify your account — we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

  • You can stop using TradeScreener at any time
  • You can request help accessing or deleting your account information
  • You can disable certain cookies through your browser settings
  • You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails where unsubscribe options are provided

12Children's privacy

TradeScreener isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn we've collected personal information from a child under 13 without required parental consent, we'll take reasonable steps to delete it.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to TradeScreener, please contact us.

13International users

TradeScreener may be operated from the United States and may use service providers located in the United States or other countries. By using the service, you understand your information may be processed and stored in countries with different data protection laws than your own.

14Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, updating the date at the top of this page. For material changes, we may give additional notice through the website, email, or another reasonable method.

Continuing to use TradeScreener after an updated policy takes effect means you accept the changes.
